Nepal’s Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) has decided to expel MP Sarita Giri from the party for opposing the map issued after the border dispute with India. Sarita has been opposing the Oli government of Nepal on the map dispute with India since the beginning.
Sarita Giri also openly opposed the Constitution amendment. It is being said that Sarita had presented a second resolution along with opposing the proposal to pass the map in Parliament in violation of the party whip. Along with this, the party has removed from the membership of the party by acting on them.
Sarita Giri said in this case, ‘Decision has been taken now. First these people will write to the Parliament Secretariat. Till the Parliament Secretariat takes a decision, it will not be called dismissal. This decision has been taken by some officials. So far nothing has come to me in writing. I don’t have any official information yet. I am just listening to the media.
There is an atmosphere of conflict between the two countries due to the border dispute in India and Nepal. On 8 May, the new road from Lipulekh to Dharachula was inaugurated by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. After this, Nepal protested that the script was written as part of Nepal. After this, on 18 May, Nepal released a new map. In which India had its claim on Lipulekh, Limpiyadhura and Kalapani areas.
